With recently moving to San Marco within the last month or so, I’ve found there’s a lot to be in the know about. There’s many fantastic restaurants, events, thrift stores, and anything else eclectic you could think of. Right in the middle of the square in San Marco is Maple Street Biscuit Company. This little place is by far the most intriguing and enjoyable I’ve found. They serve up special recipe fried chicken breasts on biscuits that are made from scratch, fresh daily (duh!). You can have it drenched in maple syrup with bacon on top, with a great goat cheese (my favorite), or many other great concoctions.
They have an incredibly friendly staff which all starts with their owners who are constantly combing the dining room making sure everything is going just right with the patrons. Their enthusiasm and professionalism trickles down all the way to the girl who runs the register who is very pleasant and inviting, particularly if you’re a new guest and need some help figuring out which biscuit if just for you. And if you’re green conscious, they’re basically paperless as far as I can tell. They ring you up on an iPad and then turn it 180 degrees to let you sign for your transaction and email you your receipt.
They’re doing everything right at Maple Street Biscuit Company and I’m excited to see what the future holds for this young, but very bright and promising restaurant.
